About Patrick

Born in New York, Mr. Milando has played extensively with major musical groups all over the world. Formerly Principal Horn of L’Orchestra del Teatro di San Carlo, Italy, Mr. Milando has performed on numerous CDs and Live Broadcast with the New York Philharmonic. With the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, he has toured internationally and has played on many Live Broadcast from the Met. He has also performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Vienna Philharmonic, the Orchestra of Paris, the St. Petersburg Symphony and the Mariinsky Orhcestra of Russia, the New Jersey Symphony, the American Symphony Orchestra, as well as a soloist with several regional ensembles.

Mr. Milando has also performed as a soloist both internationally and at Lincoln Center. He has recorded concerti and performed a live broadcast of Strauss’s Horn Concerto #1 on NHK TV in Japan.

As a composer and member of ASCAP, Mr. Milando has had World Premiers of his pieces “Landscapes for Narrator and Chamber Orchestra”, and “Meditations on Manhattan” performed at Lincoln Center. In Japan “Landscapes” was recorded live for NHK TV.

Mr. Milando has also published a Chamber Orchestra adaptation of the “Villanelle” for Horn by Paul Dukas. His live performance of the Dukas can be heard on the “audio” page.

Recent solo performances have included Strauss’s Horn Concerto #1, Schumann’s Konzertstück for Four Horns, and the Britten Serenade for Horn, Tenor and Strings.

On Broadway, Mr. Milando has the First Horn chair on Disney’s The Lion King. He has also played on numerous Movie Soundtracks, Commercial TV and Radio recordings.
